Dear all,

 

I hope you can find some peace and stillness amidst these unprecedented times. My thoughts are with you all as we traverse this uncertain and unfamiliar terrain.

 

Due to the current global situation, here is some updated information. I am continuing to update this information regularly, due to the ever-changing nature of this situation. From Monday 20th April, I will be offering face to face sessions as well as Telehealth for those who prefer this at present. Please do not attend face to face if you are unwell, have been around someone who is unwell or have recently returned from overseas travel.

 

From 30th March until 30th September 2020, ALL Australian's are able to access psychological services with their psychologist using Telehealth services (Phone or video call) under the new COVID-19 Medicare Telehealth items.

 

From Monday 20 April, all of the mandated bulk billing restrictions on the Medicare items for COVID-19 telehealth services have been removed for all psychologists.

This means that it is no longer a requirement that psychologists bulk bill for services provided to clients aged under 16 years of age, concession cardholders, clients vulnerable to COVID-19, or any other group.

So for all clients, the normal payment schedule will be applied ($190, with rebate of $126.50, hence a gap of $63.50, see appointments page).

 

You must have a current MHCP in place to be able to access services under Medicare. At present you are still limited to only 10 sessions per calendar year (January to December). I will let you know if this changes. 

The platforms I am currently using for Video calls are CoViu and FaceTime (this only works for Apple users). These have been recommended as they have better security than some of the other platforms, though if you understand this and would still like to use another platform that you are familiar with, that is completely fine too. 

If you do not have a MHCP in place, you will still need to pay for your session. 

Once the COVID 19 period has ceased, my normal fees and conditions will apply (see appointments page).
